AI user acceptance, assessment and improvement

Make sure the people who use your AI system, and those affected by it, find it useful, easy to use and trustworthy.

What it is and why it matters

An AI system can perform well technically and still fail in practice if people don't adopt it. If users find the features irrelevant, hard to learn or unpleasant to use, or if they and other stakeholders don't trust the system, adoption stalls and the investment doesn't pay off. Developing your AI system with a user-centred approach means testing it early with the people who matter: those who interact with it directly and those it affects indirectly. You can then fix problems before they become barriers to adoption.

This service is delivered by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).

How can Luxembourg AI Factory help

1. Assessment of user experience and user acceptance
We assess your AI system with a representative panel of end-users and other relevant stakeholders, looking at two dimensions:

  • User experience (UX): the utility of the system and its usability.
  • User acceptance: how individuals and groups respond to and perceive the system. This covers both those who interact with it directly and those affected by it indirectly. The central question is whether users and stakeholders actually trust the AI system.

2. Recommendations to improve user acceptance
Based on the findings, we give you concrete recommendations. These can include improvements to the AI system itself, change management actions to support adoption within your organisation, or both.

What you can expect

  1. Expert delivery
The project is carried out by UX and HCI experts at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
  2. Flexible format
The service can be delivered on its own or as part of a trustworthy-by-design development process or an AI assessment sandbox.
  3. Real-world insight
