AI Experience Centre Luxembourg: hands-on AI for finance

The AI Experience Centre at LHoFT offers Luxembourg startups and fintechs hands-on access to artificial intelligence tools and expertise.

Luxembourg has strengthened its position as an innovation-driven financial hub with the inauguration of the AI Experience Centre at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) on 13 April 2026. H.R.H.  The Grand Duke attended the opening as guest of honour, alongside Prime Minister Luc Frieden and Minister of Finance Gilles Roth.

Opened with the support of the Ministry of Finance, the Centre represents a concrete milestone in the country’s efforts to translate artificial intelligence policy into real-world application for financial services.

What the AI Experience Centre offers to financial services

The AI Experience Centre is a permanent facility where financial professionals and startups can interact with live AI demonstrations and learn about practical applications in finance.

Conceived as a key initiative to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence within financial services, it is designed to make artificial intelligence accessible, tangible and relevant for decision makers across the financial sector. Rather than focusing on theory, it offers a practical environment where AI solutions can be experienced first-hand, tested and discussed in the context of real operational challenges.

The Centre brings together more than twenty live, interactive demonstrations covering key areas of financial services such as compliance, risk management, wealth management and sustainability. These use cases, developed by both Luxembourg-based and international companies, are curated for financial executives, regulators and risk professionals. The exhibitions will evolve over time, ensuring that the content remains relevant in a fast-moving technological landscape.

Strategically, the Centre reflects the objectives set out in the Government’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy published in May 2025. It also aligns with the AI4LUX campaign launched on 4 March 2026, which positions Luxembourg as an innovative, inclusive and sovereign AI ecosystem. By connecting these national ambitions with hands-on industry engagement, the AI Experience Centre supports responsible, secure and impactful AI use across the financial sector.

More broadly, the initiative contributes to strengthening Luxembourg’s competitiveness as an international financial centre. By fostering knowledge exchange and informed experimentation, it enables institutions to better understand AI’s potential while addressing challenges linked to governance, risk and regulation.

How startups benefit from the AI Experience Centre

For startups and fintechs, the AI Experience Centre offers more than visibility, it creates opportunities for practical engagement. Young companies can demonstrate their solutions in a high-level, trusted environment and interact with financial institutions and regulators within Luxembourg’s financial ecosystem.

This hands-on exposure is particularly valuable in the financial sector, where adoption cycles are often long and trust is critical. By showcasing concrete AI applications within a regulated context, startups can validate their value propositions, refine their solutions and build credibility more quickly.

Beyond individual companies, the Centre plays a broader ecosystem role. It brings together technology providers, established financial players, public institutions and international innovators in a shared space designed to support collaboration and knowledge exchange across Luxembourg’s financial ecosystem.

Education and skills development are also integral to the Centre’s mission. Through its connection with LHoFT education and acceleration programmes, it supports both today’s financial professionals and the next generation of talent. For startups, this focus on learning and responsible innovation strengthens long-term resilience and sustainable growth.

The AI Experience Centre is open for group visits and welcomes startups and ecosystem stakeholders interested in exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming financial services. To learn more or arrange a visit, please visit the LHoFT website.
